Welcome to Merlin House

Quietly situated just 100 yards from the peaceful and unspoilt beach of Blue Anchor Bay and within a stones throw of the West Somerset Steam Railway, Merlin House enjoys spectacular far reaching views of the coast and the surrounding hills of the Exmoor National Park.
We are ideally situated for Steam Railway enthusiasts (with fantastic photo opportunities from the apartments and garden), and is an excellent area for walkers, with the West Somerset Coast Path along the cliff tops to the west of Minehead, passing Selworthy Beacon, from which Dunkery Beacon (the highest point in Somerset) can be seen. Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provide a wealth of interesting countryside to explore.
The local shops, café and pubs are within easy walking distance. Minehead, with its more traditional seaside attractions is only a short train-ride away or 10 minutes in the car. Visit 2 impressive National Trust properties, the Norman castle in the medieval village of Dunster and the picturesque village of Selworthy.
Merlin House, once an Edwardian style residence (which is also the owners' private residence) offers Applegarth - A spacious and comfortable ground floor self contained holiday apartment, from which there are superb sea and countryside views.
Applegarth has been awarded 3 Star grading by Visit Britain
